I had a list of things to buy including this Apple Mac which I am struggling to work out. Edinburgh seemed like the most sensible place to go shopping and I had a whole day there.
The first shop with John Lewis where I managed to buy only one very expensive top and resist everything else I loved.
Jenners is a great place to spend a lot of time and money and by the time I had left the store 2 hours after having entered it, my large Shanghai shopping bag was full.
I was pleased that everything I bought there was in a sale and so even though it was still expensive I think it’s good mentally to see that a blouse is reduced by £100.
I spotted TK Maxx and although it’s not a very nice shopping experience but I picked up two more tops at a knock down price. On George St I noticed a closing down sale at Jaeger and got a great pair of trousers for less money than the next purchase of trousers at Marks and Spencer.
By the time I had lunch at All Bar One I bag was heavy and my purse light.
Only one ore stop now and it was Office – to buy shoes. I had seen them in St Albans but not the right size. It was a rapid purchase followed by a chilly blustery walk to the bus stop to catch the number 23 home.
I had been looking forward to the Scottish part of the trip and I am never disappointed.
