Nasi Kandar Pelita, Kuala Lumpur

Hungry again I got the monorail and the underground to have a look around the shopping area to see if there was a nice quiet local café to have a meal. However, there were lots of people shopping in huge gleaming shopping malls selling all the usual labels.

There were indeed restaurants there but of course only expensive ones targeting western tourist. I walked and walked but still couldn’t find one so I gave in and got a taxi and told him I wanted to go to Little India for some cheap good Indian food.

Instead of taking me there he took me somewhere very close and told me it would be better. He wasn’t wrong. It was like an open air canteen affair where you can choose from all types of regional Indian cuisine.

The chicken tandoori looked good so I chose that and it arrived on a tray with some sauces – don’t know what they were but I know there was nothing left at the end and together with a can of Sprite the whole thing cost me about 3 pounds. What a bargain.
