Village Fete madness

By | March 27, 2015

It was our inaugural village fete at school and the G kids had all made stalls as part of their GCSE Enterprise coursework. They had planned for weeks for this event, bought prizes, organised games, worked out a pricing scheme and done a break-even analysis. At the end of the day I am not sure any of them made a profit but I am hoping that they will have at least learnt some business lessons.

They and I were certainly exhausted after the event.

Well done to Lance who managed to fit 50 pegs on his face with a yelp of pain. Well done to Sarah for guessing the length of the guitar and winning it. Well done to Bob who guessed how many sweets were in the jar, to Hannah who did the operation game the quickest and to Dr Yu for winning the door prize.

Thanks to all the teachers and students who took part and made this a highly successful first ever village fete.
