I had done 60 lengths of the pool and felt like a sit down but was fed
up of Costa Coffee. Anyway it’s getting a bit expensive using it as an
office. Then it ocurred to me that I could actually go to own office.

So I
jumped on my bike and after a brief stop at the noodle cafe I arrived at
the back of the police station. I didn’t bother to lock my bike. The
security guard knows me well and it is a secure police compound so I was
confident no thief would take my £20 second hand bike.

The door
to the office was closed and on entering the room I found all but a few
people asleep at their desks and the air-con on 27degrees (why God only
knows – it was that hot outside!).
The summer in
Nanjing is very hot and it’s common to find people sleeping at their
desks – still funny enough for me to take a video though.
