Young Leo expressed an interest in going out with his camera around Old Nanjing so I have taken him on several forays round the back streets.
Like many children he is particularly interested in animals and we stop and take pictures of pets and owners. This is a part of nanjing near San Shan Jie, off ShengZhou Lu. It’s one of the oldest parts of Nanjing and people are very friendly indeed.
We stop for lunch and then we look at the photos we’ve taken and I clean them up a bit and then we go to the printers and get them printed. While this is being done we sit in Costa Coffee, Leo reading his book and me playing games on my iPod (like role reversal!).
I have noticed how 11 year old start to fade after 5 hours of walking around the city. I thought they went forever on a bowl of noodles but apparently not. They need sit downs and sweets and ice-creams.
