Two weeks without work

By | March 28, 2011

I looked at my diary today and saw two weeks of now work. No IELTS, no teaching, no Extra-curricular support, no nothing. So, I decided that I should go travelling. When else am I going to find the opportunity?

So, since I have always wanted to go to Kashgar, I spent the day planning my trip. I plan to leave Shanghai on Sunday evening after my course at the British Council. There is one train a day to Urumqi. I have decided not to go straight to Urumqi but to Turpan for a few nights where I can get into the desert. After Turpan it’s a short train journey into Urumqi. I am not sure whether to stay over in Urumqi or head straight out to Kashgar – depends on whether I can do any couch surfing there.

Then fly to Kashgar and spend about 5 days there going to see the amazing sights there incl the Sunday market which I believe it fantastic.

So tomorrow I will probably get Ellen in the office to try to get me a train ticket for Sunday.

This time next week I should be in Turpan!
