I have been released from hospital at last and am happy reinstalled in the flat. I am able to walk around but am still weak. I still needed to sleep in the middle of the day and sit down a lot. I have been very lucky to have had so many people visiting me from all my different groups of friends.
The girls have been cooking food for me and bringing it to my room. Others have brought flowers, chocolate, fruit and smiles.
The Benq Hospital is fine. The nurses are nice even though they don’t speak English. We had a laugh. Kenya, my friend in the next room, and I kept each other company which was handy.
I am not able to carry stuff or do anything energetic so I have my friends coming round with their cars and drivers to help out with shopping etc. It’s so handy have friends with drivers!
As I look out of the window here I can see the whole of the junior school marching on the spot, arms swinging, feet stamping as the Chinese flutters high above them. I will soon be fed up of looking at the small scene outside my window and desperate to leave the confines of the flat. Maybe in a few days I will be able to walk to Costa Coffee down the road. That would be a good start at least.
Good to hear that you're on the mend…
